The task is not about your opinion
In integrated writing, your job is to report the relationship between sources. Often, the lecture responds to, challenges, or adds to the reading.
Do not turn it into a personal essay unless the task asks for your opinion.
Take notes in pairs
Use a two-column note format:

This helps you keep the connection visible.
For each reading point, ask:
- Does the lecture agree?
- Does it disagree?
- Does it give an example?
- Does it explain a problem?
- Does it weaken the reading's claim?

Write the connection clearly

You do not need decorative language. You need accurate relationships.
Review for missing links
After writing, check:
- Did I include the main reading points?
- Did I include the lecture response to each point?
- Did I make the relationship clear?
- Did I add my own opinion by mistake?
If one paragraph only summarizes the reading, it is incomplete.
